Let’s talk honestly about profile building for MBA.
Yes, it matters. But no, it’s not everything.
You don’t need 10 internships, 5 certifications, and 3 NGO experiences to get into a good B-school.
What matters more is having a few strong things done well. Here’s my take:
1. Academics – decent is enough
You don’t need to be a 9 pointer. Just maintain decent scores and try to avoid any major drops. Consistency shows responsibility.
2. One solid internship or work ex
Even if it’s not a big brand, it’s fine. What matters is:

Did you actually learn something?

Can you explain your work in interviews?
3. One or two activities outside studies
Could be a fest, college club, sports, anything. Shows you’re not a robot. Even something small is fine—just do it sincerely.
That’s it. You’re good to go.
CAT percentile + interview prep > fancy profile.
Profile only helps in telling your story. So don’t stress over ticking boxes. Focus on what you enjoy, and be able to talk about it confidently.
