During one of my B-school interviews, I was asked a question that really made me stop and think:
π βWhat is something youβve unlearned in the last 2 years?β
At first, I scrambled for an answerβour instinct is to show what we've learned, not what we've let go of.
But then it struck me.
In the fast-moving environments Iβve worked inβwhether at Udaan handling supply chain finance or at Airtel building techβI had to unlearn the idea that perfection is the goal. I realized that speed, adaptability, and progress often matter more than getting everything 100% right the first time.
β
I learned to prioritize clarity over control.
β
To embrace failure as iteration, not incompetence.
β
And to stop equating being busy with being impactful.
That one question turned into a moment of reflectionβnot just for the interview, but for how I approach work, leadership, and life.
If you're preparing for interviews, hereβs my advice:
πΉ Prepare your mind, not just your answers.
πΉ Reflect on your journey deeply.
πΉ And donβt be afraid to be vulnerableβit shows maturity, not weakness.
Would love to hear:
Whatβs one question from an interview that challenged your perspective?
